My name is Toni and I am native of the Bronx. I grew up and still live there in a household that has always valued the companionship of pets. There were birds, chickens, rabbits, turtles, cats, and dogs in my life as a kid. From my grandma’s example, we would always try our best to share our home with an animal in need when we could. This is how we rescued my childhood best friend, and border collie mix named Toby from a friend of a friend who was an allowed big dog in her apartment. Currently I have three perfect and silly tuxedo cats to go home to.

Animals are a big part of who I am, and I will always appreciate how much love and joy they can bring into our lives. They deserve all of the protection, patience, and understanding we can give them. Being a companion and assistant to your furry family member is truly a dream job that I feel so grateful for.

Before starting at RuffCity, I had an almost 10 year long career in luxury fashion retail. Beauty and styling is something I have always naturally loved and gravitated toward. Fashion is such a fantastic medium for expression, and helping someone feel like their true selves through style is an incredible feeling. For the same amount of time I have also freelanced in the beauty community doing special occasion and bridal makeup. And still do!:)
