I’m Steve and I’m an NYC transplant by way of the Philadelphia area, and I moved here to pursue my passion for writing (short stories and poetry)! When I’m not caring for dogs you can find me at record stores, the gym, drinking coffee, an open mic reading my poetry, cooking vegetarian food, or back home hanging out with my own dog Daisy.

Dogs have always been my favorite animal. Growing up my family always had dogs, and by the time I was able to walk them, it became my responsibility. During college I began walking and sitting dogs for extra cash between classes. This experience not only sharpened my skills as a walker but also made me comfortable with breeds of all shapes and sizes, as well as reactive dogs.  My own puppy at home is pretty wild (60 pound pitbull mix), so I can thank her for giving me the strength to handle even the pull-i-est of pups!

Dogs to me are the best, and the relationship between pet and pet parent or pet and pet caregiver are some of the most beautiful things in the world! I’m thrilled to be a part of the RuffCity team, because of these connections. I cannot wait to meet your pet!
