Samuel – Uptown

My name is Samuel and I am from a small town just north of Seattle, WA called Snohomish, and more recently, I am an NYC transplant. My wife and I moved here with our two dogs to continue to pursue a career in the theater and storytelling world. When I’m not out walking pups, I work freelance as a stage manager doing technical and design work. I was also a chef for many years and still love food and cooking. In my free time, I love to spend time outside with my dogs and wife, and on a sunny day, you can always find me at parks reading and taking in the life of the city or at home studying plays if the sun isn’t out to frolic in.

I have had rescue dogs since the time I was in middle school. My first dog, Barkley, was a rescue, and since then I have always had a soft spot for animals and love to take care of them by letting them be unapologetically themselves. For me, this means meeting every animal where they are at in order to support their needs so that they can be the best version of themselves and learn how to love and live in the world. I have had dogs of all sizes and love every dog I meet and all of their individual personalities. I feel like if everyone lived with the excitement, curiosity, and love that dogs have, the world would be better off for it!
I understand that dogs are a member of your family and deserve the same time, care, respect, and attention as any other person would. Your relationship and connection with them are special and important. I am overjoyed to be a part of the RuffCity team and I’m looking forward to spending time and helping to love and take care of your furry member of your family.
