Natalie – Uptown

My name is Natalie, but you can call me Nat for short if you’d like! I’m a born & raised New Yorker from the boogie-down Bronx 🙂

Working with and caring for animals has always been a great passion of mine that started out very early on in my childhood. I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals that I couldn’t help but to explore further. I was also fortunate enough to have parents that also loved animals as much as I did and for some reason, always found themselves caving in and saying “Yes” to me any time I came home with the latest ‘rescue’ and asked “Can we keep it?”. I’ve had guinea pigs/hamsters, birds, fish, cats, dogs, and even hermit crabs! The list truly goes on and on 🙂

My experience with dogs in particular is pretty extensive, as I have a slew of personal experiences with my family and friends’ pups my whole life. I also have prior professional experience as a dog handler at the Spot Canine Club for 2.5 years, and possess a variety of skills and knowledge that make me a great caregiver for your fur-baby 🙂 I’m a keen observer of things like animal body language and behavior in general in order to better help me understand your pet and approach/interact with him or her seamlessly. I pay close attention to detail when it comes to caring for “my” fur-kids, and I am passionate about working with animals in any capacity.  With me, your pet will always be treated with love, patience, and care as if they were my very own!
