My name is Megan 🙂 I am originally from the Poconos, Pennsylvania, and I moved here to NYC to get a theatre degree from NYU!

The moment I moved here I was DELIGHTED by all the dogs I got to meet. I’ve been a dog lover since birth, but sadly my mom didn’t feel the same way, so I didn’t have one while I was growing up. However, when I moved to NYC I got to live out my wildest dog dreams by petting every single dog I was allowed to on the street! Eventually I started babysitting during my undergrad studies, and that led me directly to pet sitting some of the best dogs in the city for just over 5 years now 🙂

After college, my best friend adopted a gorgeous Dachshund, and I was happily and officially named Godmother 🙂 This is when I learned about all of the intricacies of raising a rescue dog (if you know, you know). After my deep dive into ‘Rescuing 101’, I now consider myself well versed in the nuance of silent dog language!

Now, I have my very own adopted pup, AKA the love of my life, Ava, who is a 15 pound Chihuahua-Terrier mix. And remember when I said my mom wasn’t a fan of dogs when I was growing up….? Well, now my dog sleeps in her bed whenever we visit!!

All of this being said, I am so excited to join the RuffCity team, and to be able to continue my life-long passion of meeting, petting, and loving all of the doggos that I possibly can!
