Lexi – Uptown

I’m Lexi, a proud Brooklyn resident and also a proud, lifelong animal lover! I originally moved to NYC from Connecticut nearly a decade ago to study photography at the School of Visual Arts, and I’ve been lucky to call this big city home ever since 🙂 In 2018, I finally settled in Brooklyn with my sweet cat, Boo-Boo, and quickly found myself building community here through my love of pets!

Growing up, I was always the go-to person for pet sitting and dog walking in my neighborhood – so I’m used to following specific feeding and walking schedules, giving medications when needed, and keeping pet parents updated regularly 🙂 Whether it was my own family’s pups or the fur-kids next door, I’ve always had a natural bond with animals. That connection only deepened as I started to explore the Big Apple; one of my favorite things about NYC has been spotting all the amazing dogs out and about every day!

I’ve been walking dogs for several years now, and so I have experience with a wide range of breeds and sizes—from small Chihuahuas to large breeds like Great Danes. I’m comfortable walking up to three dogs at a time and I know how to manage their different energy levels and personalities safely. One of the key skills I’ve developed is reading dog body language quickly, which helps me avoid potential conflicts and ensure every walk is calm and positive.

Whether it’s a quick walk or an extended overnight stay, I take pride in bringing a calm, attentive, and loving energy to every walk. I also take pride in being reliable, mindful, and kind-hearted with every doggo and kitty I look after. So, it probably goes without saying, but when the chance to officially start walking pups came along, I nearly literally jumped at it! That said, I truly cannot wait to meet you and your furry companion(s)!
