I’m Jose, originally born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts! After spending a chapter of my life in Florida, my wife and I moved to New York City to be closer to our daughter after she completed college. Family means everything to me, and when I’m not exploring our amazing new city, you can usually find me relaxing at home with my family and our beloved Shih Tzu, Lucy, who truly is my world!

I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, and my love for animals has only grown over the years. I have over five years of experience working as a dog sitter and walker for both friends and clients, caring for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to anxious rescue dogs, I understand that every pup has their own unique personality and needs. I take pride in being patient, attentive, and compassionate, and I’m always mindful of a dog’s body language to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free throughout every walk. I also know how important the little details are, from double-checking harnesses and secure crating to keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages after each outing. Your pup’s safety and happiness will always be my top priorities!

I know firsthand just how special the bond between a pet and their family can be, and I’ll treat your furry family member with the same love, patience, and care I give Lucy. I’m excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the RuffCity team and can’t wait to meet you and your pup!
