Corey – Uptown

My name is Corwin, but you can call me Corey. I’m originally from upstate NY in the lovely story book town of Saratoga Springs. There, my wife and I raised our two daughters for the past 20 years. Surrounded by an abundance of trees, fresh spring water and of course, plenty of animals.
Saratoga is known for their horses and early on I fell into the equine community, learning the various skills required for horse care and maintenance, including feeding schedules, daily meds and naturally, plenty of treats. Understanding individual horses’ temperament and unique needs, in my experience, was essential for the happiness of both them and their owners. I easily found myself drawn to the work after already being a dog person all of my life.
From my earliest memories, dogs have been part and parcel. By providing daily walks, healthy food options and a safe home it was always so rewarding to live the dog life. When my wife and I decided to have children, of course including a dog into the plan was essential. Soon after we added another pooch to the mix and before long our house was filled with pets of all sorts.
As my daughters grew into young women it was time that we explored new opportunities. We relocated to Manhattan as my wife furthered her career in education and I saw moving to the city as an opportunity to expand my business and passion for jewelry making. When I’m not exploring the city with your adorable pups, you can find me working at my jeweler’s bench creating fine works of art with precious metals and gemstones.
I’m so excited to have the opportunity to go for a stroll with your dog! Spending time with your furry loved ones and offering them a safe opportunity to explore the streets each day is an absolute treat for me. Manhattan can be a busy and intimidating place for canines and humans alike, but you can be sure that my attention will always be focused and discerning while we find our way throughout the city and parks. I’m so excited to represent the RuffCity team with your pup and hope that I will leave them a little happier each day.
