Peter – Uptown

My name is Peter, and I’m a born and bred New Yorker from Harlem. I’ve lived here in Manhattan for the past 22 years, so I know my way around the city pretty well! That said, when I’m not out pup-walking, you can also find me making music and art, and I also love continuing to explore every nook and cranny of the city any chance I get (especially the city’s secret, “hidden-gem” spots for food!).

I’ve been working with dogs professionally for the past 3 years, ranging from dog walking, to K9 Training and Handling for Voices for Canine Rescue, to even pup rehabilitation. With all of this experience I’ve worked with literally every size of dog you can imagine — from the teeny-tiny teacups to 180 pounds of fur, dragging me through the New York snow!

That being said, I feel strongly that dogs are more than a job. They are my life, my passion, and I can’t imagine ever being without them. Even if I’m visiting one of my friend’s or family’s house and they don’t have a dog, it just doesn’t feel right to me – I think everyone should have a dog!

It likely goes without saying, but dogs are my favorite animal ever, and to me they are more than just my furry friends — they’re truly my family. They are unconditional with their love, and I try my best every day to give as much of that love back to them. Dogs deserve the world, and that’s why I’m proud and excited to be a part of the RuffCity pack, so I can live up to what they deserve each day!
