My name is Hailey, and I moved to NYC just a couple of years ago! I’m originally from California, but I mostly grew up in Florida where I lived until I graduated from university. When I moved to NYC, I was working in Corporate Marketing (which I did for six years), but I eventually took the leap to become a full-time entrepreneur, instead!

When I took that leap, I went from living in NYC full-time to living here part-time. During those nearly two and a half years, I spent part of each year in NYC working as a freelance/press photographer, and also spent time caring for pets through a platform I use and also through word of mouth. The rest of my time was spent living/working or traveling elsewhere during New York’s colder months – living that snowbird life, y’know! 😉 However, I’ve now planted my roots back in NYC full-time, where I’m continuing to focus on my two greatest passions: pets and photography!

I’ve been a lover of animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up as a child with two cats and two dogs (one of them was adopted from a shelter :)). Then, my first job as a teenager was walking a Beagle daily; since then, I’ve lived with roommates with both dogs and cats, and I’ve also fostered three dogs through a dog rescue as an adult. Additionally, prior to joining the RuffCity team, I’ve cared for over 50 pets of various breeds, ages, and sizes, with different personalities and needs throughout my life!

When I’m not spending time with a furry friend or taking pictures, some of my interests include anything to do with music, film, art, outdoors, or food. In the past, I’ve also dabbled in food blogging and foodgramming, and also was part of the Brooklyn Yelp Elite Squad for two years. I also love to explore the city, especially via biking and running 🙂

I understand how much our pets mean to us, and my utmost priority is to provide the love, attention, and care they need and deserve. I will treat your pups like my own, and ensure they receive the highest quality of care while you’re away from home. My family and friends used to see how much time I would spend with animals and would tell me they could see me working as a professional dog walker and pet sitter; now, that dream has become a reality for me as part of the team at RuffCity!! I am so excited to be a part of the RuffCity team and to spend time developing those close bonds with your fur babies 🙂
