My name is Pat Curtin, I live on the UES on 95th St. I am originally from Long Island and have been living in the city most of my life. I studied art and design at Cooper Union and have a BFA degree. I’ve been working in the Graphic Arts profession but recently I decided to create a new less stressful path working for myself doing things that I love–like spending time with adorable dogs!

While growing up, I always had a dog (and cats, birds, turtles, frogs, snake, chicks etc). I love and care about all animals. I’ve always wanted to have a dog in the city, but I felt that my apartment was too small, so instead I have 2 cats. This job gives me the opportunity to be with my first love. Once you gain their trust, dogs give so much and ask for so little. I have a high regard for dogs, time spent with them is very rewarding, you can learn so much.

I have been volunteering for Anjellicle Cat Rescue (in Petco 86 St) since March 2015, and also for Pillows for Paws sewing pet beds for NYC shelter animals. I enjoy cooking authentic home style Japanese food, bicycling in Central Park, and checking out great design.

I enjoy working for RuffCity because they respect dogs.Their policy of walking 1 dog at a time helps to create a close, trusting relationship. You are fully attentive to the dog and get to know their idiosyncrasies. I understand your pet is a cherished member of your family. I look forward to treating him/her with love and respect to help them feel secure and comfortable when you’re not there. Over time we could become “best buds”! I can fill you in on what we’ve experienced during the day so you’ll have a lot to talk about when you come home! I hope we can develop a great friendship and connect through the care and concern of your furry child!
